Come and support us by Volunteering at the Carnival – Individuals and Organisations

In order to make the Carnival run smoothly we rely on volunteers, and this year we are running low on physical assistance and are looking for more individuals to help out on Carnival day so why not support your community by volunteering.

So if you are enthusiastic and keen to role up your sleeves and get stuck in then why not volunteer either yourself or your organisation, contact Mark Stopps directly chairman@brackleycommunitycarnival.org.uk

We are holding a team briefing on the Wednesday  7th June at MCS St Johns Site, so why not come along and learn more about taking part.

Every year the Carnival is spectacular gem in Brackley’s event calendar. People come from far and wide to visit. This great event would not take place without the help and support of a team of volunteers made up from local Businesses, Schools, Organisations and These people give their time freely and often their resources too, bringing their professional expertise or just a friendly face to the monthly meeting and in turn they are rewarded with a great sense of satisfaction in proving a wonderful event for the community to enjoy.

We are also supported by local organisations that provide equipment, logistics or extra pairs of hands. We rely on organisations and the following are physically supporting us this year;

Brackley Round Table

Brackley Library Supporters

Banbury Rotaract Club

Brackley Army Cadets

Brackley Ladies Circle

BORG (Buck and Oxon Response Group)

These organisation provide a variety of support on the day including managing the road closures, manning the entrance gate to assist stall holders and also essential setting up the event and rubbish clearance and the general running of the event and without whose help the event would not take place.

Where possible we support local business in our procurement and services such as using St Johns Ambulance who provide the First Aid cover during the event, and local companies like: Brackley DIY for signage, Costa Coffee and Thee Baguette Shop for refreshments on the day

We are busy organising this years event, we meet every second Wednesday of the month and always looking for new volunteers at The Learning Support Centre MCS the dates of the next meeting are listed on our facebook page.

We set up the Carnival Site on Friday 9th June and always need extra bodies to help out in setting up and also on the day so if you fancy helping out, contact us.

We are always looking for volunteers to help, in advance and also on carnival day, if you’d like to volunteer please contact us or come along to one of the above meetings
