Delighted that Waynflete Infants’ School are joining this years Procession

About Us

Waynflete Infants’ School is the only Infant School in Brackley.  The school was graded Outstanding by Ofsted in January 2011 and converted to Academy Status with effect from 1st April 2012.  This enables the children to benefit from a bespoke broad and balanced curriculum which offers them the opportunity to learn in a stimulating and exciting environment.

The school   which was purpose built for young children, and opened in 1960. We have seven classrooms, a large well equipped hall, ICT/library base and a well maintained playground, with a variety of outside play equipment. In the September after their fourth birthday, we welcome up to 30 children to join each Reception class. They stay with us until they transfer, usually to Brackley CE Junior School, in the Autumn Term after they are seven.

Mrs Tina Lagdon (Headteacher), provides an inspirational lead to a dedicated, committed and enthusiastic staff who are all passionate about ensuring all children in school are treated equally and given every opportunity to reach  their full potential.

The whole school team take a very responsible view towards all aspects of the well being of the children in our care.  We strongly believe that children must feel safe and secure in their learning environment.  All members of staff hold Safeguarding qualifications and we have three Designated Safeguarding Lead teachers.

We have a very active School Council  which plays an active part in development of projects identified by the children.

One of our key drivers is “enterprise”, and the School Council help to lead each year group in thinking of projects for which they want to raise funds from goods they have made.    Details of the “enterprise sales” will be provided in newsletters.  Please help us to support the children in raising funds for their year group!
